HCG progress – the first 32 days!

I started this journey on Homeopathic HCG, and I moved over to real HCG on VLCD 44. HHCG is not real HCG. However, it acts like an “imprint” in your body. It does work for a lot of people, and it seemed to work well for me in the beginning. I’m on the real HCG now so that I can compare the two versions. These are my results from the first 32 days of using homeopathic hcg. Plus, the foods that I eat while on phase 2, the 500 calorie per day diet. I am not hungry, and I’m very motivated to continue.

Since this time I have discovered it’s best for me not to exercise while on the hCG Diet- however- I think this is due mostly to my different autoimmune disorders- this makes my body more sensitive than most. Many people can exercise while on hCG without trouble. It’s very individual.

I started this hCG diet journey with hCG injections at 172 pounds, 34.5% body fat and a size 16/18.

NOVEMBER 2012 update on me and the hCG Diet:
I am cycling crossfit with the hCG diet to achieve the best body composition for myself. In 9 months of attending crossfit I have gained 12 lbs of muscle (proof by hydrostatic body fat testing). Through the hCG diet I have lost almost 40 lbs of actual fat (not just water weight or muscle)- again, proof by hydrostatic body fat testing and DEXA scan. My hydrostatic bodyfat percent started at 34.5% and I am currently 17.9% bodyfat. All fat loss was achieved with the hCG diet, scouts honor!

VLCD10: -.2, VLCD11: -1.4, VLCD12: -.2. Weight today 138.2

So I did this experiment where I did a short burst of exercise (HIIT- High Intensity Interval Training to be exact) while on HCG the other day. At first thought it seemed like it brought good results, but I can’t really say as I didn’t get to try it much after this because my health just wouldn’t hold up to being both on HCG and exercising. And I still have that terrible habit of drinking Diet Coke on this round! I’m so glad I finally broke that habit permanently. I switched to Organic Black Numi Tea that I just love with a little half and half and stevia- it’s just the right caffeine kick for me. HcG Diet Round 2 VLCD#10 *Crab for Dinner*

Here is a typcial dinner at my house. Also reporting in for the mini challenge. –

Chicken “tacos” on Phase 2- I do mix my veggies as I use 2 Romaine leaves as my taco shells.
Recipe: 1 chopped roma tomato, 1 precooked chicken portion chopped, 2 tsp dried minced onion, 1 1/2 cumin, 1/2 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, salt to taste, squirt of Braggs Liquid Aminos, 1/8 cp water, xanthum gum. 2 Medium leaves of romaine lettuce.

Cook water, chicken and tomato together on med/high heat, add spices and additional 1/8 cup water. Whisk in small dashes of xanthum gum until a light sauce is created. Lay within the romaine lettuce leaves and eat like a regular taco.

HCG Besties – VLCD Day 22 & P2 Mug Cake

“Steak & Cake Day”
Lunch- 3.5 oz. of sirloin steak
Dinner- 3.5 oz of sirloin steak
Dessert- Mug Cake made with macadamia nuts (recipe below)

“Mac Mug Cake”

1/2 oz. of mac nuts (grind them into a powder. The powder will be a bit sticky because mac nuts are a softer nut than almonds)
1 Tbl. cocoa (or 1/2 Tbl. dark cocoa + 1/2 Tbl. cocoa)
1-1/2 Tbl. Xylitol
2 packets Splenda for Coffee Vanilla flavor (or vanilla flavoring of your choice)
1 egg
3 Tbl. heavy cream
1 Tbl. coconut oil

I changed a few things, this is the recipe I followed:

1/2 oz. of mac nuts (grind them into a powder. The powder will be a bit sticky because mac nuts are a softer nut than almonds)
1 Tbl. cocoa (or 1/2 Tbl. dark cocoa + 1/2 Tbl. cocoa)
1-1/2 Tbl. Purevia
1/2 dropper of Vanilla Stevia
1 egg
3 Tbl. heavy cream
1 Tbl. coconut oil

Combine ground mac nuts, cocoa, sweetener, and vanilla in coffee mug. Mix in one egg. Add heavy cream and mix well. Last, add your tablespoon of coconut oil. If it clumps up due to the cold mixture, don’t worry about it. That is normal. Just make sure to break it up into smaller clumps. Microwave for 90 seconds.

Optional: Top with fat-free Reddy Whip (only around 10-15 calories per serving)
