Stay Healthy Without Missing Out With This Nutrition Advice

Anyone can benefit from good nutrition. You do need to put in the effort to make it work, however. If you’re looking to start a diet, you’ve got a lot to learn about health and nutrition.

NOVEMBER 2012 update on me and the hCG Diet:
I am cycling crossfit with the hCG diet to achieve the best body composition for myself. In 9 months of attending crossfit I have gained 12 lbs of muscle (proof by hydrostatic body fat testing). Through the hCG diet I have lost almost 40 lbs of actual fat (not just water weight or muscle)- again, proof by hydrostatic body fat testing and DEXA scan. My hydrostatic bodyfat percent started at 34.5% and I am currently 17.9% bodyfat. All fat loss was achieved with the hCG diet, scouts honor!

While I did lose 1.8 lbs after my first trial at the Fat Fast day while on HCG Injections, I must make it clear that I NO LONGER SUPPORT the idea of doing fat fasting while on HCG. I have come to my own personal conclusion that Dr. Simeons knew what he was talking about when he said to avoid all fats while on HCG. Debbie: Debbie (known to those of us endeared to her as Hebbiedobby) has lost 100 lbs with HCG Injections so far. 100 lbs! She hopes to lose an additional 100 lbs as her journey continues. Her initial motivation was in her words, “Diet or Die.” She was kind enough to insert a before and after photo of her face from then till now (hint, stop reading and watch the video!) and the difference is simply striking. Her 2nd biggest motivator following this was being involved in the hCG Diet Community. She mentioned how once you’ve invested yourself into something, you become interested in it, and by immersing herself into the community with other hCGers she was motivated to keep going. 3 very important reads she spoke of: Pounds and Inches- the original hCG diet protocol that Dr. Simeons himself wrote (free download),Weightloss Apocalypse by Robin Woodall
(truly, a MUST read), and Fat Chance: Beating the Odds Against Sugar, Processed Food, Obesity, and Disease by Robert H. Lustig (just ordered that one myself! Thanks hebbie….) Debbie had a challenge that some of you may be facing- once she started feeling better doing hCG, she discovered the original Diet or Die goal was losing some of it’s oomph and she needed to find other goals that would motivate her to lose over 200lbs. After the cancer treatment that worked so well , I had to be on tons of carrot juice and supplements that increased my appetite and I started to gain weight ..did not like this as I did not feel myself anymor and when I was in Kansas Conference my good friend and sister in Christ has introduced me to HCG diet. At first it was painful to follow and I was always hungry until I found my way of eating and still loosing while on HCG but I had to compromise my vegan diet to a vegetarian diet . On 500 calories I was way too hungry even with HCG drops no matter how many drops I increased but with the injection and 800-1000 calories I am still loosing visibly and I don’t feel hungry at all and I am able to even exercise lightly.

Losing FAT on the HCG diet, not just weight- why it’s important

16.8 lbs in 25 vlcd days now on HCG Injections for my 3rd round. I’m at 34 lbs of fat according to my Omron Body Fat monitor.

My Ketones have dropped to 15 for reasons I’m unaware of. I thought to remove the stevia in my water temporarily to see if by some minute chance, the stevia could be causing a reduction in my ketones via a blood sugar increase (doubtful, but you never know with HCG). Since I’m writing this post way after the fact of this vlog, I can now tell you that it had nothing to do with the stevia. I think what it comes down to is simply that my body was using the ketones in my body more efficiently and they just weren’t spilling out into my urine anymore. I’m thinking this because I really hadn’t changed anything in what I was doing on the protocol from the first half of the round where my ketones were always at 40 and 80, and I was continuing to lose fat. Slow down when you eat. Scarfing down your food in a matter of minutes is one of the more detrimental effects of always eating on the run. Rather than rushing each meal, eat at a more leisurely pace. Take your time and enjoy each bite. Eating more slowly also allows your body’s fullness response to work. You will be less prone to overeat if you slow down and enjoy your meal.

Breakfast should be a part of any diet plan. Breakfast boosts your metabolism and provides a great opportunity to consume nutrient-rich foods that keep you going until lunch.
