Adding just a little xanthan gum and guar gum to your smoothie can make it nice and thick like the “real” smoothies I no longer eat made with poisons like ice cream and sugar. This vlog is kind of reflective, discussing my own feelings on overeating and getting out of that cycle. I am a very all or nothing person that tends to go to extremes. As a teen I became super strict with myself never allowing myself any indulgence when it came to food. It allowed me to become slim and strong, but it also required that I use a lot of mental energy to focus on myself. Once you’re an adult with a family and other responsibilities, it becomes very difficult to do this, because so much of your time, mental energy, and emotional energy even are required to be focused outside of yourself. Hoping to find balance instead of requiring such a strictness with myself this time. This is because the downside to being so strict is that once you “fall of the wagon,” a person like me tends to throw in the towel all together and go to the other extreme, instead of just making allowances for a little fudge room occasionally. Many times, people don’t know what goes into a balanced diet. This article will show you some tips to improve your nutrition and advice to help you incorporate them into a personalized nutrition program for you to follow.

Any time you consider purchasing an item at the grocery store check its label. Do not assume that if a product claims to be reduced fat that it is healthy. It may have trans-fats or high cholesterol. When shopping for healthy meals, stay away from processed foods. A label needs to have ingredients you can read. If half the ingredients are artificial flavors with polysyllabic names, then give the food a pass.

It’s also gluten-free and contain many vitamins your body needs. Quinoa has a mild, pleasant, nutty flavor that everyone loves, and it’s really a nutrition treat.

As mentioned earlier, it is not easy finding the right information about nutrition. If you succeed in tailoring the tips to your specific lifestyle, you stand a good chance at greatly improving your nutrition.

NOVEMBER 2012 update on me and the hCG Diet:
First, I’ve been off all thyroid medication and feeling great for over almost 9 months now.
I am cycling crossfit with the hCG diet to achieve the best body composition for myself. In 9 months of attending crossfit I have gained 12 lbs of muscle (proof by hydrostatic body fat testing). Through the hCG diet I have lost almost 40 lbs of actual fat (not just water weight or muscle)- again, proof by hydrostatic body fat testing and DEXA scan. My hydrostatic bodyfat percent started at 34.5% and I am currently 17.9% bodyfat. All fat loss was achieved with the hCG diet, scouts honor!
