I’ve done the HCG protocol several times, and I lost 20 lbs and 18 inches. My husband lost 34 lbs and 7 inches off his waist. The rest of our fat loss is from a healthy diet and lifting weights.

What is HCG? Human chorionic gonadotropin: hormone produced by pregnant women after the fertilized egg has attached to the uterus. It allows for energy consumption from the woman’s own body fat to sustain her during pregnancy.
The weight loss protocol was developed my Dr. Albert T.W. Simeons. He created the protocol, which involved injections of HCG along with a 500 cal/day diet. He tested it on obese patients, and found it worked on every patient, without exception. They had no hunger and no signs of nutritional deficiency or starvation.
The protocol calls for 3 phases.
Phase 1 = loading (2 days)
Phase 2 = very low calorie diet (23 or 40 days)
Phase 3 = stabilization (21 days)
Forms of HCG:
–prescription injections; sublingual drops; pellets
–homeopathic drop or pellets
Pros:
–quick losses: 1 lb a day for all men and most women with a lot of fat; ½ lb a day for women with less fat;
–pulls from areas of abnormal fat loss
–shrinks your stomach
–teaches portion control
–teaches one to differentiate between thirst and hunger
Cons:
–not FDA approved for weight loss
–if you fall for a product without the hormone in it…you’re starving yourself and losing muscle. CHECK THE LABEL!
–if you have 5-10 lbs of fat to lose, this is NOT the program for you
