This is a collection of pictures taken throughout my first round of HCG. My first round was 25 days total including 2 days of loading and 23 days of VLCD. I welcome you to join me as I track my progress on my blog at http://mindyshcgjourney.wordpress.com/.

I lost a total of 27.2lbs over the 23 days of VLCD.
I also lost a TON of inches including:
4.5″ from my upper arms
3.25″ from my bust
4.25″ from my waist
3.5″ from my hips
4.75″ from my upper thighs
1.75″ from my calves

If your grocery store confuses you and you do not know what is good for you and what is not, you are far from the only one. Nutrition is a subject full of mystery and contradictions. These tips offer clarification regarding the subject of nutrition.

Salad has always been considered a health food, however the dressing many people use to cover the lettuce is not very healthy. There are many creamy dressings that contain much fat and not enough nutrients. A vinegar dressing or some olive oil would be a better choice. Another great idea is adding cranberries and walnuts to a salad.

When trying to eat healthy, pack your lunch. If you bring your own meal and snacks, you will be less tempted by fast food and other unhealthy options. Making your own lunch is fairly quick to do, and you can do a couple at once to save time.

Oatmeal is a great breakfast choice that will get your day started off right. The whole grains in one cup of oatmeal is very satisfying and will help you feel full longer.

If you dine out, consider splitting a meal with someone. Even mindfully selected entree can come with an excess of food, and thus fat and calories you do not need. Dividing the meal cuts costs and saves calories. You can go out to eat without feeling too guilty!

Broccoli is your friend. It is considered a superfood because one medium portion of broccoli has more Vitamin K than you need for the entire day. Plus it contains enough vitamin C to last you for two days. This can help ensure strong and healthy bones, and even lower your risk for certain cancers. Steam your broccoli to help it keep its nutritional value.

If nutrition is of interest to you, it is possible to find a wide range of books, magazines and online resources to help increase your knowledge base. This is a great way to determine which foods maintain health, and which ones are harmful to your health. Everyone needs a little more nutritional food choices in their life.
