If you incorporate Fage Greek yogurt & Sugar Free Smuckers in your P2 or P3 then this easy frozen dessert might be perfect for you! Here is the recipe & nutritional info:
Mix 6oz (170 g) of Fage 0% with 1 Tablespoon Smuckers Sugar Free Blackberry Jam or Smuckers Sugar Free Strawberry Preserves ( I used Smuckers Sugar Free Blackberry Jam sweetened with Truvia), add 1 Tablespoon powdered Truvia and 1 tsp. Imitation vanilla ( if real is used you may want to use less) & mix well. Lightly put 24 small areas of powdered Truvia on a parchment papered covered small cookie sheet. On top of those areas apply 24 dollops of the yogurt mixture. Then mix another 1 tablespoon of the Jam mixed with 1 tsp. powdered Truvia and apply a small amount of that mixture in the center of the yogurt dollops. Freeze until solid (1-2 hours). It is best to use powdered Truvia because it will give this frozen treat a smooth texture. We like to put the entire bite in our mouth & enjoy them on our tongues as they thaw out, ohhh so good! It’s fun because you get two different sensations based on which side you put on your tongue. The truvia side gives a cool powdered truvia BLAST or the extra jam side give a more intense fruit BLAST. That is why we call these blasters! My family thinks this is fun!!
Entire batch is 130 calories (100 calories from the yogurt & 30 from the jam), I don’t count the calories for the truvia. The whole recipe has 18g protein, 17g. carbs (8 sugar alcohols), this is a fat free dessert. I usually divide them into 4 servings which = approx. 32.5 calories per serving, 4.5 protein, 0 fat , 4.25 carbs ( 2 sugar alcohols). ENJOY!!
