You should be preparing vegetables with every meal and consuming fresh fruits as a snack. Eat the skins if possible; that’s where many of the antioxidants in the fruit reside.

To ensure your body is able to make plenty of red blood cells, get plenty of vitamin B-12. As you age, you may not get enough vitamin B-12 in your diet. Anemic people are at risk too. There are supplements, but lots of breakfast cereals can provide enough vitamin B-12, too.
